Your health data belongs to you. Futurum is built with HIPAA compliance and end-to-end encryption at its core, so every symptom log, device reading, and doctor interaction is protected at every step. You control what gets shared, with whom, and when.

Your rights as a patient

Futurum is designed around your ownership of your own health information. These rights are non-negotiable:

You own your data

Your health data is never sold to third parties — not to advertisers, insurers, pharmaceutical companies, or anyone else.

You choose who receives your reports

When you send a pre-visit report, you select the specific doctor or clinic that receives it. Nothing is shared automatically.

You control connected sources

You can disconnect any wearable or health data source at any time from Settings → Devices, and Futurum will stop pulling data from that source immediately.

You can request data deletion

You can request deletion of your Futurum health data at any time. Contact us at info@futurumhealth.ai to submit a deletion request.

How your data is protected

Every layer of the Futurum platform is built with security by design:
  • End-to-end encryption on all data in transit and at rest — your health information is encrypted from the moment it leaves your device to the moment it’s accessed by an authorized party.
  • HIPAA-compliant data storage and access controls — Futurum meets the full requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act for handling protected health information.
  • Role-based access controls — only authorized parties see your information. Doctors receive only the reports you explicitly send them.
  • Comprehensive audit logs — every data access event is logged, creating a complete record of who accessed what and when.

Compliance certifications

HIPAA

Futurum is fully HIPAA compliant. Every conversation, note, and patient interaction is protected with end-to-end encryption, access controls, and audit logging.

AWS Health Infrastructure

Futurum runs on AWS Health infrastructure, with full encryption on all patient data and strict access controls across the platform.

SOC 2 Type II

Futurum is pursuing SOC 2 Type II certification. The highest standards of security and availability go live with the platform at launch.

HITRUST

Futurum is building toward HITRUST certification and will apply for it at the point of MVP launch.
The following data is yours alone. Futurum does not share it with any party — including your own care team — without a deliberate action on your part:
  • Your symptom logs
  • Your wearable and device data
  • Your pre-visit reports
  • Your visit summaries
When you send a pre-visit report to your doctor, only the doctor or clinic you select receives it. Futurum does not share reports automatically.
